Men of Immanuel Lutheran Church (MILC)

The Men of Immanuel group generally meets on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7 p.m. for a time of relaxed fellowship. All male members of our church are welcome to join and all regular monthly meetings include food—whether a simple sandwich, a chili soup dinner, or an evening around a campfire. 

Men of Immanuel have also organized special fellowship activities for the gentlemen and their spouses, such as our traditional Valentine’s Day dinner, a show at the new Lawrence Community Theater, Royal’s baseball game, and a tour of a local winery.

In past years, the Men of Immanuel have raised funds for projects at our church, including providing the tables and chairs to help complete the new addition and selling merchandise at KU football and basketball games. Because that avenue of raising funds is no longer available, we are now in search of a new way to raise money for “special projects” around Immanuel.

This group is an outshoot from the men’s softball team, which disbanded in 2005 with the desire to maintain the camaraderie. Many of our meetings end in traditional card games—normally pinochle. Come join us for an evening of fun and excitement.
