Immanuel Lutheran Church offers its members and friends the opportunities to serve the Church through the Ministry of Music.

 

Chancel Choir

Open to high school students, college students and adults. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 7:45 p.m. in the choir room.

 

Children's Music: 

Opportunities are provided throughout the year associated with Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, our Christmas program and more. Our children have even had the opportunity to play as ringers using color coded music and handbells!   

  


 

Handbell Choir: 

Open to high school students, college students and adults who enjoy ringing bells. Rehearsals are on Sunday afternoons at 1 p.m. in the Nave.

If you're interested in this ministry or would like to serve as a substitute ringer, please contact thedirector for more information. Immanuel Lutheran Church has 5 octaves of Schulmerich bells and three octaves of chimes. In addition to a full choir of ringers, opportunities for solo, duets and other small ensembles may be created. 

 

Instrumentalists: 

Musicians are encouraged to share their gift of music in worship. Please visit with the organist or pastor regarding your willingness to serve in this capacity.

    

The organ at Immanuel Lutheran Church: 

Re-built and enhanced by former member Donald G. Hoyer in 1986 upon the merging of the Church and the University Student Center. The adjustable bench was donated in memory of Margaret Scherer.
